JAFF Future Project

JAFF Future Project (JFP) is a project market platform that provides opportunities for the new filmmakers to connect with professionals in the film industry. The project stage starts from story development to work in progress. It is the most appropriate platform for placing a film project from new filmmaker talents on the film industry map. Each year aims to discover new feature film projects, ranging from low-budget independent films to large-scale commercial films, and connect them with film investors, producers, and distributors in Indonesia and globally.

Film Conference

Film Conference which hosts many talk and discussion programs which aim to bring together experts, stakeholders and professionals to share and discuss the latest trends, opportunities, platforms and collaborations that can be explored. The focus is that stakeholders have the best and most effective space in facing challenges, opportunities and new norms in the film industry in the future. Themes can cover talent and creativity; production and distribution; financing and investment; innovation and technology; to regulations and education. This program is committed to empowering industry aspirations and encouraging the creation of locally and globally relevant content, which in the end is expected to contribute to the blueprint for the future of the film industry, especially in Indonesia.

Talent Day

An internal event designed as a first step for new filmmaking talent to network with professionals from the film industry. A dedicated day offering a series of meetings, workshops and special programs designed to bring the cinematic visions of emerging talent to life. Participants are directors of short films screened in the Emerging program at JAFF. This is an opportunity to connect, collaborate and build networks for the future. Professionals will provide support, share experiences and inspire future film generations.

JAFF Content Market

The JAFF Content Market is a content marketplace ranging from Intellectual Property (IP) such as books, songs, video games, and even scientific works, to find the possibility of being adapted into a film. Publishers, studio groups, musicians, web content platforms, as well as all IP holders can participate in this program to connect with professionals in the film and audiovisual industry in Indonesia. The aim is to encourage numerous adaptation deals into films, strengthening and diversifying the landscape of Indonesian films. Each company or group with original IP and buyers come together to discuss the possibilities of finding the right story for new ideas for a film.

Reel Life Film Camp

A series of workshops & talent showcases presented by JAFF & NETFLIX for emerging talents that focus on one of these six specialized subjects of filmmaking: Production, Production Finance, Actor, Post Production, Sound Design, and Visual Effects. The workshops are held in two phases: online workshop & offline workshop (there will be a selection for the offline workshop participants). The selected talents will have the opportunity to join the Talent Days showcase at JAFF Market.

JAFF Market Screening Room

A film viewing room that presents JAFF selected films as well as previous works from new talents selected in the JAFF Market program. Screening Rooms can connect filmmakers with Buyers (film programmers, distributors, sales agents and investors). All accreditation holders can access details about the film as well as contact the filmmaker via a screen in the specially designed Screening Room. This is a very limited private space with the aim of making it a safe place for filmmakers submitting both released and unreleased films.

JAFF Market Partnership Forum is an extended membership of JAFF Market, connecting film industry stakeholders and brands to explore potential collaboration for valuable benefits

Networking Event

Room to open and expand the network of industry players and the film ecosystem. This program is casual and occurs outside JAFF Market working hours. Programs can take the form of parties, dinners, gatherings and all forms of events that increase networking between market accreditation holders. It is hoped that these casual meetings will create opportunities to build networks and partners that will open up opportunities for something bigger, more important or even something new.
