JAFF Future Project (JFP) is a dedicated film project market designed to connect emerging and established filmmakers with industry professionals from across the region and beyond. Held as part of JAFF Market in Yogyakarta, JFP provides a vibrant platform for filmmakers to present their feature-length projects in development, pre-production, or work-in-progress.

 

Whether you’re seeking financing, co-production partners, or industry feedback, JFP offers a dynamic space to move your project forward — all within a festival atmosphere that celebrates bold, independent storytelling.

 

What to Prepare

Filmmakers applying to JFP 2025 must submit the following materials:

1.  Logline (max. 300 characters incl. spaces)

2. Synopsis (max. 1000 characters incl. spaces)

3. Treatment (max. 10 pages, size A4, PDF format max. 100 KB)

4. Director’s Statement (max. 1000 characters incl. spaces)

5.  Producer’s Note of Intention (max. 1000 characters incl. spaces)

6. Director’s Biography & Filmography (max. 1500 characters incl. spaces)

7. Producer’s Biography & Filmography (max. 1500 characters incl. spaces)

8. Distribution Plan (max. 1000 characters incl. spaces)

9. Top Sheet Budget (1 page, size A4, PDF format max. max. 100 KB)

10. Financial Plan (1 page, size A4, PDF format max. max. 100 KB)

11. Project Timeline (1 page, size A4, PDF format max. 100 KB)

12. Key Visual Landscape, JPG format max. 500 KB)

13. Producer–Director Statement of Cooperation (1 page, size A4, PDF format max. 100 KB)

FAQ JAFF Future Project (JFP) 2025!

Q: Who is eligible to participate?

A: Filmmakers (A team of Producer and Director) from the Asia-Pacific region with Indonesian elements (e.g., cast, language, location).

Q: What stage should the project be in?

A: Project in Development, Pre-Production, and Work in Progress (Offline Editing).

Q: What documents do I need and in what language?

A: Please refer to the Rules & Regulations on the JAFF Market website. All submissions must be in English.

Q: When should I be in Yogyakarta?

A: From 28 November to 2 December 2025

Q: Is there a registration or participation fee?

A: No, there is no registration or participation fee. Selected participants from Indonesia will have full support, while other Nationalities will be partial.
